Getting the family together in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris

Our photographer chose this special location for a family photoshoot in Paris. The Jardin des Plantes is a park in the center of Paris, close to Saint Michel and the Sorbonne. Green in the summer and bursting with colours in spring and autumn, the Jardin des Plantes is also a perfect location for black and white pictures in winter.

Pop the champagne!

We started our photoshoot in the arly afternoon with a bottle of champagne. A great idea to set the mood for a dynamic photoshoot! A family photoshoot will take longer than a couples photoshoot – the more people, the longer the shoot. There are beautiful avenues lines by sycamores to be found in the Jardin des Plantes, but also interesting steel architecture reminiscent of the Eiffel tower and the Grand Palais.

The Jardin des Plantes is 23.5 hectares large and over 300 years old. Huge trees attest to the park’s old age and are a perfect backdrop for family pictures.

The Jardin des Plantes, a bit of Japan in Paris

There’s a small hill in the Jardin des Plantes topped by a beautiful gazebo. The labyrinthine paths that lead up to it and the trees that line the way almost transport the visitor to Paris – or to New York.

This family photoshoot ended after a marvellous one and a half hours at a location that was new to our photographer.
